Simpson Hybrid S – FIA-approved head and neck restraint system

The Simpson Hybrid S is a carbon fiber safety device approved according to FIA 8858-2010, designed to protect the driver in the event of frontal, side, or offset impacts. Unlike older HANS-type models, it rests on the back and shoulders, without resting on the chest or collarbones, thus providing optimal comfort and great freedom of movement.

With its ultra-compact profile, the Hybrid S facilitates rapid entry and exit from the vehicle. Its design ensures the driver stays firmly in the seat while improving contact with the car.

It is compatible with conventional HANS anchors or can be equipped with the optional M61 quick-release system, ideal for disciplines such as rallying where the helmet is often removed between special stages. This system allows the device to be easily detached via a cord attached to the helmet.

The Hybrid S is FIA 8858-2010 and SFI approved, and can be used with helmets meeting this standard or a higher standard.
